SCA appoints Per Funkquist as its new Vice President Sustainability.
Funkquist, with over two decades of forestry industry expertise, will begin his role on September 1, 2024.
A graduate of SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) with a degree in forestry, Funkquist joins SCA from a leadership position in communication, sustainability procurement, and wood supply. His extensive career encompasses various forestry roles, and he currently holds positions on industry boards.
Sustainability is central to SCA's operations, with six key areas guiding their social, economic, and environmental impact. SCA recognizes the Vice President Sustainability role as strategically critical. Sustainability, encompassing both social and environmental concerns, is deeply woven into SCA's business practices and the benefits their products offer. The company welcomes Per Funkquist, whose extensive experience in these complex and vital areas will be a tremendous asset to SCA.
