Given the uncertainty facing a large number of events around the world due to the progression of COVID-19, International Pulp Week 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled.

March 25, 2020 - The PACWEST Conference 2020 organizing committee, after careful evaluation of available information from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Canadian Federal and Provincial Government Heath authorities, has decided to cancel this event.

After careful evaluation, The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA) are announcing that Paper2020 – scheduled for March 15-17 in New York City – is cancelled.

Since the international situation on COVID-19 started in late January, Informa Markets has been guided by local government and health authority advice, as well as the views of the communities we serve, in making decisions about our portfolio of events.

With 210 participants and 15 exhibitors from 26 different countries, the first conference on cellulose fibres was a great success and exceeded all expectations. The focus of the conference was on markets, technologies and sustainability – and especially alternative cellulose feedstocks.

PAPTAC Executive Director Greg Hay welcomed participants to the awards luncheon by underlining the importance of the Association’s national awards for business and research leadership, as well as for service to the Canadian pulp and paper industry.

FPInnovations is partnering with the Canadian Woodlands Forum, Laval University and the Canadian Wood Fibre Centre in the organization of the September pre-DEMO 2020 Conference entitled “Digital Transformation in Forest Operations: A leap forward in driving business growth and competitiveness.”
