When it comes to research and innovation in advanced biomaterials, Europe is leading the way to the future.
“The window of opportunity is there but we are not moving fast enough,” said Dr. Patrice Mangin from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR).
“Equipment doesn’t fail; components do!” said Christer Idhammar, founder and CEO of IDCON Inc. by way of opening his presentation entitled, “Reliability and Maintenance excellence” during a PAPTAC technical session.
PAPTAC officially launched PaperWeek 2019 on Tuesday morning with a breakfast panel comprised of three pioneer companies who are investing in the bioeconomy.
If the Breakfast Panel demonstrated that times are changing in the pulp and paper industry, Tuesday’s luncheon, featuring 5 women in industry leadership positions showed that the wind of change is also bringing more and more women aboard the sector.
