Introduction to Pulp and Paper Technology
IPP reaches a 49-year milestone in 2023, having been offered since 1974 with continually updated content that keeps pace with changing papermaking innovations.

“This course is designed to help attendees learn what happens in each stage of papermaking, why things happen within the processes, and the effects of those processes in other parts of the mill,” said Course Chair and Professor Emeritus of Paper Science & Engineering at North Carolina State University, Dr. Michael Kocurek, who is presenting with Dr. Steven Keller and Thomas Holm. “We are presenting a core curriculum that covers best practices and all major processes in pulp and papermaking utilizing a curated collection of more than 2,000 visuals to aid in learning.”

Participants gain a broad perspective by exploring the entire pulping and papermaking process, increase their ability to help improve mill operations, get personalized answers to specific questions and operating problems, and learn how to interact more knowledgeably with process engineers and operators.  Review the course schedule for more information on the topics planned.

IPP is ideal for technical mill professionals, supervisors, suppliers, and consultants, as well as non-technical personnel.
