The next edition of the international conference Woodrise is just around the corner! From October 17 to 20, the city of Bordeaux, France, will host the fourth edition of the biannual event on mid- and high-rise timber construction and buildings.

For this edition, the international forum expects to bring together more than 3,000 participants from 20 different countries, some 50 keynote speakers and more than 100 exhibitors.

This year, the Woodrise congress will present three plenary sessions under the themes:

  • Decarbonizing the construction sector with wood
  • Unlocking new markets for wood in the built environment
  • Emerging mid- and high-rise timber construction projects worldwide

in addition to seven workshops featuring internationally renowned speakers and presenters. Among them, it will be possible to hear representatives from FPInnovations at Workshop 2 “Recent R&D work on fire safety in buildings” (This email address is being protected from spambots. Canada Pavillion at Woodrise 2023

Participants at the Bordeaux event are invited to visit the Canada Pavillion (Hall 2 C 0402), an exhibition space that will bring together various players in the Canadian wood construction ecosystem to generate synergy among participants and facilitate business meetings and discussions. By bringing together different companies and government agencies under one roof, the Canada Pavillion will offer a unique showcase for the development of their activities, while enabling to keep abreast of the latest developments and research results on an international scale.

Woodrise, an initiative of co-organisers FCBA (France), FPInnovations (Canada), Building Research Institute and the Japan International Association for the Building and Housing Industry (Japan), brings together international speakers to present the various global challenges of mid- and high-rise timber construction and its integration into the concept of sustainable cities. FPInnovations representatives can be met at the booth shared with Woodrise co-organisers (Hall 2 D 0412).

It’s an event not to be missed!
