Tissue companies are flushing away our forests and our future by making toilet paper from ancient forests essential to the climate fight.

More than a year after the release of NRDC’s first edition of The Issue With Tissue, The Issue With Tissue 2.0 finds that, while new additions to our scorecard are offering tissue products made with recycled materials and sustainable alternative fibers, the biggest makers of toilet paper in the United States, and in particular Procter & Gamble, continue to lag far behind, with tissue products still made entirely from climate-critical forests.
