Charleston, SC. AstenJohnson is pleased to announce a new investment in its Kanata Ontario Dryer plant. This investment will address the increased demand for locally supplied Dryer fabrics in the US and Canadian markets.
AstenJohnson continues to manufacture products from within the region where they are sold, reducing their carbon footprint, and their customer’s carbon footprint from transport.
The AstenJohnson Board of Directors approved an investment of $2.5M USD to install a new high-speed loom to expand their ability to deliver quickly to the North American market. They are also hiring new associates to match the increase in production as well as provide excellent customer service. This investment fortifies their commitment to increase supply, while still providing the high quality their customers rely on.
AstenJohnson is currently the North American and Worldwide market leader in Dryer fabrics for the Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) industry. They are continuing to make investments during these difficult times to persist in improving service to customers.
They expect the loom to be operational during the first quarter of 2021.
