Runtech Systems-supplied RunEco vacuum system rebuild has started up at Papelera de Brandia, S.A., in Spain. New EP600 Turbo Blower replaces five liquid ring pumps at the mill.
Delivery also included an EcoFlow dewatering measurement system, low vacuum fan and full mechanical turnkey installation. With the rebuild, Brandia will reduce its energy consumption and carbon footprint significantly.
“Even though we just started up the turbo blower and not all equipment are yet fully operated, we already have the savings we expected. After optimizing and fine tuning we will fulfill all our energy saving guarantees,” says Lari Lampila, Sales Manager, Runtech Systems.
RunEco EP Turbo Blowers are the first turbo blowers available with variable speed and variable capacity. With more than 850 units sold, they offer a proven, energy-efficient and completely water-free vacuum solution with significant heat recovery potential for paper, board and tissue machines. EcoFlow dewatering measurement system significantly improves dewatering, doctoring and cleaning processes, enabling increased dryness after the press section.
