International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order from the Spanish pulp and paper producer Papelera Guipuzcoana de Zicuñaga to deliver a new LimeFlash-H lime kiln for its pulp mill in Hernani, Spain.

ANDRITZ has been selected to supply, install, and commission an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) for this plant.

The ESP will be installed downstream of the new LimeFlash-H unit, and the state-of-the-art ESP will be powered by switched integrated rectifiers (SIR) from ANDRITZ. The ESP efficiently collects the lime dust and recirculates it back to the lime kiln, thus enabling the customer to keep particulate matter emissions at the stack well below 20 mg/Nm3.

Start-up of the plant is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
